Beholding the Lord
A Day 13 devotional on transformation that comes from fixing our gaze on the glory of God.
Today's Reflection
It is easy to focus on what is wrong, on what is missing, and forget the One who is shaping everything quietly in the background.
But Scripture says the secret to transformation is simply this: behold Him. Look at God. Let His glory fill your vision. Let His character, His love, His presence sink into your soul.
Transformation does not happen by trying harder, as I thought earlier in my walk with God, or by fixing yourself. It happens by keeping your eyes on Him.
As the Spirit reveals His glory, little by little, the heart, the mind, and even the way you see yourself start to change. You begin to reflect His image more clearly.
It is not instant. It is a slow, gentle work, but it is holy.
Some days it feels invisible. Some days it feels painfully slow. But every time your gaze returns to Him, you are being shaped and renewed from the inside out.
So when life feels heavy, when your reflection feels far from who you want to be, remember: the transformation does not start with performance. It starts with looking.
Fix your eyes on Jesus and let the Spirit do the work inside you.
Prayer
Lord, help my eyes to stay fixed on You. Transform me as I behold Your glory. Shape my heart, renew my mind, and help me reflect Your image more each day. By Your Spirit, from glory to glory, let me be changed. Amen.
