The Lord Is With Me
A Day 30 devotional on walking with confidence in battle because the Lord is with you like a mighty warrior.
Today's Reflection
Amy gets bullied by her male sitting partner on her first day in a new class. She does not stay quiet. She tells her bully, "I'll call my uncle."
When she gets home, she takes her mother's phone and calls him.
She reminds him of a promise he made on her sixth birthday that if anyone ever tried to mess with her, she should call him, and he would show up.
Amy knew who to call because she had already been assured of his presence. And that assurance gave her confidence.
In the same way, our confidence in God should show in seasons of battle because we know who He is with us like a mighty warrior.
He defends us and fights on our behalf.
And because of that, we do not have to shrink back in fear. We stand, knowing that the One who promised will not fail to show up.
So when opposition rises, when pressure comes, when you feel outnumbered, remember who is with you.
You are not alone in this battle.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being with me like a mighty warrior. In moments where I feel attacked, overwhelmed, or afraid, remind me that I am not standing alone. Help me to trust in Your strength and not my own. Teach me to walk with confidence, knowing that You fight on my behalf. When fear tries to silence me, give me boldness. When I feel weak, remind me that You are strong. Help me to hold on to Your promises and to call on You without hesitation, knowing that You always hear me and You always show up. Thank You because victory is found in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
