God Is in the Details
A Day 20 devotional on trusting God to work through disappointment, delay, and all the small details we cannot yet see.
Today's Reflection
When life does not go according to the script we have written in our heads, we begin to fret. We start to throw tantrums or have crash outs, as Gen Z would call it.
Some of us even threaten to give up on God. And truthfully, you are not alone in that feeling. Disappointment is heavy. It sits on the chest, making everything feel uncertain.
But the good news is this: God is still working His purpose out even in the disappointments.
He has a way of weaving the entire story together. Sometimes it comes together so beautifully that it shocks you. And you look back wondering why you were overwhelmed in the first place, because He was always in control.
Even in the silence. Even in the delay. Even in what did not make sense.
Prayer
Lord, help me to remember that You are in the details. You are working out Your purpose in every single step of my life, even in the silence. Teach me to trust You when I cannot trace You. Anchor my heart when I feel disappointed or confused. I choose to believe that You are good, and that You are still writing a beautiful story with my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
